Vietnam weather in February

Vietnam weather in Feb

Featuring tropical monsoon climate, February is amongst the best months to travel in Vietnam even though the weather is unpredictable. Dry condition and bright days are expected all over the country. Lunar New Year often takes place in late January or mid-February when people living in the North would wish for a light rain on the first day of the Lunar Year as a desire for good luck. South Vietnam can expect much sun and warm weather for most days in February while Central Vietnam remains dry season with pleasantly warm weather.

Northern Vietnam

While there are plenty of sunshine and clear blue skies, it is quite cool in North Vietnam. The temperature increases a little bit compared to January, around 17 °C, which is cold enough to support a number of outdoor festivals as well as enhance your appetite. February receives least rainfall. It’s also recommended to bring suitable clothing when travelling to the dry and chilly far North.

Central Vietnam

Unlike the North, Central Vietnam welcomes summer with a slight rain here and there, average temperature of 25°C. Hue and Danang remain sunny suitable for relax on beaches while in Dalat and the Central Highlands the climate is cooler thanks to altitude. This is great for those who love trekking and adventure activities. It’s recommended to bring warm clothes for the evenings. Further south Nha Trang beach is also having blue skies with bright sunshine.

Southern Vietnam

You can expect good weather in February when it is warm and rather dry. Many people enjoy beaches of Phu Quoc, Phan Thiet & Mui Ne with clear blue skies, plenty of sunshine and little or no rain and the average temperature of 27 °C. Mekong Delta is also a good choice if you love experience tourism.
