Laos weather in December
There’s no doubt that December is amongst the most popular months to travel to Laos, so you can expect a higher number of visitors at the main tourist sites.
Following the same trend as of November, December is characterized by dry, sunny weather, blue skies and relatively cool temperatures (around 19-22°C) throughout the country.
If you intend to visit Laos during this month, favorable weather conditions enables trekking in Muang La and Phongsali, and safe caving and rock-climbing in Vang Vieng. With minimal chance of rainfall and plenty of sunshine, the 4000 Islands are the place to head for rest and relaxation, although if it’s a beach you’re looking for then you may wish to consider southern Vietnam or Hua Hin in Thailand, both of which are easily reached from Laos.
