Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend taking out insurance whilst travelling in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand or Myanmar. If you can’t afford travel insurance you can’t afford to travel.

It is essential to take health insurance for the reimbursement of medical expenses incurred abroad (the rates charged by private agencies are high) and the costs of possible repatriation. Insurance to cover cancellation fees or loss of luggage is also recommended. All these guarantees can be provided to you by an international insurance that will ensure effective coverage abroad and will allow you to leave with confidence.

Please note: Insurance linked to your credit card is valid only if you pay your tickets with your card. The conditions are different from one card to another, so please ask your bank for a reference. They will provide you with a brochure with all the conditions.

Your insurance must:

  • Be valid in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand or Myanmar
  • Cover your medical expenses
  • Cover cancellations (travel, airline tickets, hotel reservations)
  • Cover your repatriation
  • Cover legal fees
  • Cover electronic devices
  • Be available 24h/24 and 7/7

It is also important to know what your insurance does not cover. Most travel insurance plans automatically exclude coverage for:

  • Losses due to a pre-existing medical condition;
  • Changes in your mind or decision that you can’t afford to go;
  • Losses for tickets or tours won as an award;
  • Travel costs where the purpose of the trip is to get medical treatment outside your home country, also referred to as medical tourism;
  • Lousy weather conditions;
  • Extreme, high-risk sports such as sky-diving, scuba diving...;
  • Losses due to force majeure (war, military actions, civil disorder and riots);
  • Losses due to venereal diseases, AIDS virus, pregnancy or abortion;
  • Losses due to mental, psychological or nervous disorders (including anxiety, depression, neurosis or psychosis);
  • Losses due to nuclear radiation;
  • Losses caused by participating unlawful act;
  • Losses due to the insured intentionally causing bodily harm, including suicide;
  • Losses due to being drunk or under influence of drugs.

WE DO NOT OFFER TRAVEL INSURANCE.
