This 7-day trip brings you to the two biggest cities: Phnom Penh and Siem Riep. Start in the charming Siem Riep, the gateway to the majestic ruins of Angkor including Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Terrace of Elephant, Baphou, etc. You also have chance to take a boat trip over the water of Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating fisherman’s villages for a closer view of the local lifestyle and people. Flying to Phnom Penh, we visit some major sites such as the Royal Palace, the famous Silver Pagoda and Toul Sleng Museum to understand more its rich historical past and French influence in the ornate Khmer-style temples and the grand colonial buildings and villas.   • Day 1: Siem Riep Arrival (-/-/-)

    Siem Riep - Airport: 8km, ~15min drive

    cambodia tour tonkin travelUpon arrival at Siem Riep airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel by our guide and driver. After making sure of your successful hotel check-in, they will be pleased to leave you free time for your own lunch and leisure to recover after the long flight.

    This afternoon, meet our guide again who will give you a brief of history and introduction of Siem Reap province and Angkor. We then visit Angkor National Museum where you will see all the main artifacts from the pre-Angkor period up the post-Angkor period and especially a 30-minute meeting with our Khmer Archeologist from Khmer Royal University of fine and arts. We continue to a local pagoda for a very special blessing ceremony arranged by Buddhist monks to bring you the happiness, prosperities, peace of mind and pleasant trip.

    Day 2: Siem Riep - Angkor Temples (B/L/-)

    ankor tour tonkin travelEarly morning, we visit the picturesque Ta Prohm that had nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown, an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple in a sort of embrace, evoke feelings that you may remember forever. And continue to visit the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat - one of the world’s most impressive ruins.  The temple still owns fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art. At 09am come back to hotel for breakfast and rest in the noon to avoid of the heats of the day until 15:00 continue exploring the mysterious Royal city Angkor Thom. City & Bayon Its 54-tower temple is an awesome sight. At first glance it seems a shapeless mass of stone, but further scrutiny reveals a face, and then another and another until suddenly you are engulfed by the silent, heavy, enigmatic and silent gaze through half-closed eyes, staring out from a primitive and remote time. Further, visit to the surroundings of the complex including the Baphou, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place area and visit one more ruin in Angkor Area of Preah Khan temple, built in 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and it is the same style to Ta Prom Temple.

    Day 3: Siem Riep - Flight to Phnom Penh (B/L/-)

    Siem Riep - Phnom Penh: 320km, 40min flight

    tonle sap tonkin travelEarly morning at 05:00, we transfer to view the sunrise on the Tonle Sap Lake and visit to floating village of Chong Kneas, return to hotel for breakfast at 08:00. We then drive to airport for a short flight to Phnom Penh, On arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, after clearing immigration and customs, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to hotel for check-in. After a short rest, we will visit Toul Sleng Museum which was the biggest prisons in Pol Pot Regime, and meet one of the artists from Royal Cambodian Art University.

    Day 4: Mekong Islands - Cycling 8km – Cruising (B/L/-)

Cycling along the village of 8km to visit the local life and these villages most of villager are making farm plantation for living and especially is making silk. We return to Phnom Penh by boat cruise along Mekong River for 1.5 hours. In the afternoon, we continue to visit Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom; Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles and located within the Royal Palace compound.

    Day 5: Phnom Penh - Ta Keo - Kep (B/-/-)

    phnom penh tonkin travelAfter having breakfast at hotel, our journey southwards begins as we depart Phnom Penh and make our first stop at Phnom Chisor Temple dating back from the 11th century. A 500 step path leads up to the top of the hill from where we can enjoy fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. We get on our car to the quiet town of Takeo before taking a short cruise to Angkor Borei town, located just a few kilometer navigation from the Vietnam border. There is a small museum which displays several reproductions of sculptures from the nearby ruins and few artifacts dating as far back as the 4th century. After seeing this pleasant place, we continue our boat trip to visit a pre-Angkorian style temple of Phnom Da and a nearby temple of Asram Maharosei. The steep path over some big rocks makes Asram Maharosei different from other temples in Cambodia. We then continue south following the picturesque drive to Kep. The southern coast of Cambodia, edging the border with Vietnam, once served as a glamorous seaside resort for the French in the early 1900s. Evocative of the French Riviera towns along the Mediterranean coast; the towns of Kep, Sihanoukville and Kampot have tree-lined, wide roads fringing the ocean, large statues, luxury villas, casinos and even a palace overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.

    Day 6: Kep - Countryside - Rabbit Island (B/-/-)

    rabit island tonkin travelThis morning after breakfast, we will travel through delightful scenery of rice paddies, sugar palm trees, traditional wooden houses, and karst limestone outcrops on the way to the cave of Phnom Chhnork. Inside the cave you will discover the remains of a 7th century brick temple. After this you will visit the caves of Phnom Sla’an, if you are feeling adventurous you can scramble through this cave until you magically appear into the sunlight on the top of the hill, being rewarded with perhaps some of the most beautiful views in Cambodia, with the traditional countryside stretching off into the Gulf of Thailand and its many islands. For the less adventurous you can follow a track up the outside of the hill be see the same views. During the 1960’s Kampot was world famous for its aromatic pepper you will visit a local pepper plantation and continue to visit Rabbit Island until late afternoon return to our hotel in Kep.

    If your trip includes domestic flights if any, they will be operated by Vietnam Airlines, the largest airline in Vietnam. The fleet consists mainly of Airbus and Boeing. On some short trips, the company operates 72 ATR and some Fokker.

    Rail transport

    Train travel can be offered (particularly between Hanoi-Lao Cai and Hanoi-Hue). Travelling at a speed of 60km/h on average it is not necessarily the fastest but an interesting experience nonetheless.
