  • Day 1: Sai Gon Arrival - City Tour (Early check in booked) (B/L/-)

    Saigon - Airport: 7km, ~20min drive

    Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, meet up with our driver and tour guide and we head to hotel for checking in. You will take a rest and having breakfast.

    In the afternoon, we will get on half day city tour of Saigon’s highlights includes the Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh market. Then visit the Reunification Palace for a glimpse into the lifestyle of the democratic regime of former South Vietnam.

    The Reunification Palace: “American War’ officially ended on 30th April 975, when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates, opened the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.

    War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war.

    Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture since 1877.

    Ben Thanh Market: The bustling market with central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dais

    Day 2: Sai Gon - Mekong Delta Tour (B/L/-)

    Saigon – Ben Tre: ~90km, 1h50min drive

    08.00, our tour guide and driver will pick you up and we head to My Tho province.

    10h.00 Arrive at the Nam Bo branch in My Tho town. Take a boat trip on Tiền river, get over Tiền river to The other side (Bến Tre land). Sight-seeing fish farms, floating fish market along the Dragon Island on the way. Through Xếp canal in Bến Tre (land of coconuts) to See coconut collection set and how the locals make handicrafts from coconut trunk and shell. Enjoy seasonal fruits and listening to traditional music. Take the horse-cart on village path and stop at Mr Nam Ngô orchard, taste honey with tea or wine. See bees-breeding in wooden boxes under longans tree.

    Take rowing-boat along water palm creek. Lunch on islets (included). Boat to see local people make coconut candy, taste candy (Special products of Bến Tre province)
    After tour, we will get on the car and head back Sai Gon..

    Day 3: Sai Gon - Fly to Hanoi - City Tour (B/L/-)

    Hanoi - Airport: 30km, ~40min drive

    Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Then our driver will transfer you to airport for flight to Hanoi

    Upon arrival, our tour guide will pick you up and we head to city center for city tour.

    We then will visit Museum of Ethnology (or Hoa Lo Prison if you visit on Monday) dedicated to Vietnam's fifty-four officially recognized ethnic groups. While the in-house exhibition is particularly informative, the outdoor display continues in the museum’s garden with fascinating examples of traditional houses of numerous minority groups, from the Kinhs to the ethnic groups of the Central Highlands.

    In the afternoon, we visit the Temple of Literature constructed in 1070 to worship Confucius, which was served as the first University of Vietnam. The site also honors eighty-two Vietnamese doctorates that passed a number of rigid exams in the medieval ages. Their names, birthdays and birthplaces are engraved in eighty-two headstones perched on stone tortoises. It is widely believed in Vietnam that touching the heads of these tortoises will bring you luck. Its peaceful green compound with its neatly maintained lawns, gardens and lotus ponds make it a tranquil hideaway from the city’s bustle and heat.

    We then take a 45-minutes cyclo tour to discover the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake surroundings where you can see streets with century-aged trees and French Colonial buildings.

    You will end up your tour today by a cup of Egg Coffee (cà phê Trứng) at Giang Cafe Shop which is humbly hidden on a small lane on Nguyen Huu Huan Street in the city’s old quarter.

    Then we go back hotel for relaxation.

    Day 4: Hanoi - Drive to Mai Chau (B/L/D)

    Hanoi - Mai Chau: 160km, ~ 4h drive

    08.00am, After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the valley of Mai Chau, home to many hill tribes including the Dzao, Muong and Thai. We stop on the way to visit a Muong village in Thung Khe. After arriving at the homestay, you will have lunch prepared by the host. We will then spend the afternoon walking around the villages of Mai Chau and the surrounding countryside. The peaceful life, verdant landscapes and friendly and hospitable people of this site will leave you with unforgettable memories.

    Then we go back to lodge for relaxation.

     In the evening, you have a chance to enjoy the friendliness of the people by participating in a traditional dance show of Thai ethnic people.

    Day 5: Mai Chau - Drive to Ninh Binh (B/L/-)

    Mai Chau - Cuc Phuong: 140km, ~3h drive

    Breakfast at the hotel, then our guide and driver will escort you to Ninh Binh for lunch and refreshment before making a new excusion in the afternoon.

    We will reach Cuc Phuong National Park. We will visit  visit the Cave of Early Man (had over 7000 year) then the Centre of Endangered  Rescue, home to 15 different species of endangered primates most of which get confiscated from illegal animal trade. We then drive to the hotel in Tam Coc for your own dinner and overnight.

    Day 6: Tam Coc Boating – Thai Vi Temple – Dancing Cave (B/L/-)

    After breakfast at hotel, we will we embark a small rowing boat to discover the outstanding karst waterscape on Ngo Dong River. From the boat, you will enjoy prime views of rice paddies dotted with limestone peaks along the river banks.

    Get off the boat, we will visit Thai Vi Temple which was dedicated to the four Kings of the Tran dynasty in the 13th century and now offers place of peace and simplicity against a backdrop of ancient architecture. After that, we drop a visit to Hoa Lu ancient capital of Vietnam dating back to the 10th century. Time is then spent to discover its temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009).

    You will end of today by challenge yourself to climb up to the Dancing Cave to admire the panoramic view from the peak above. A stone staircase beside the cave entrance zigzags through the karst (beware the goat droppings) and it’s almost 500 steps to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy). Look west for the Ngo Dong River winding through Tam Coc.

    Day 7: Ninh Binh - Drive to Ha Long - overnight on cruise (B/L/D)

    After breakfast at the hotel, we commence a three and a half hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. We stop en route for photos and coffee before arriving at our destination. We then transfer to a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay. Revel in the fantastic views of this UNESCO Heritage listed site. While on board, we will be served a fresh seafood lunch followed by swimming and explore some of the limestone caves in the area. Witness the sunset onboard followed by dinner.  The captain then will anchor for the night nearby a remote island.  In the evening, there is the option for some night fishing or just sit out on the deck and relax under the stars. We promise that this is a truly unforgettable experience.

    Day 8: Ha Long - Hanoi - Fly to Hue (B/-/-)

    Hanoi - Hue: 770km, 1h flight

    After waking up surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the bay, we have time for an early morning dip. Then it’s time for breakfast whilst you watch the sun rise over Ha Long bay. The cruise continues to move around the bay in order for us to discover more secluded areas; we then go kayaking and continue swimming around the bay. The boat will be near us at all times for those who prefer to relax on board. Around midday, we will return to the main harbour before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for the three-hour journey to Noi Bai airport for the flight to Hue

    Upon arrival in Phu Bai Airport in Hue, meet up with our new tour guide & driver and we head to hotel.

    Day 9: Hue City Tour (B/-/-)

    After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Citadel containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple city, which was the Emperor's private residence. We then embark on a boat cruise along the Perfume River which providing unparalleled views of the scenic countryside. The next stop of our trip is the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc which was built between 1864 and 1867 by 3000 soldiers and workers. It includes 50 monuments surrounded by a 1500m long wall.

    After a vegetarian lunch at local pagoda, we return to the city for a walk to the bustling Dong Ba Market passing many fantastic eating spots where you have a chance to sample some local delicacies.

    Day 10: Hue - Drive to Danang - Hoi An Ancient Town (B/-/-)

    Hue - Hoi An: 140km, ~2h30m drive

    08.00am, after breakfast at the hotel, we bid Hue farewell and continue our south bound journey to the old trading town of Hoi An via Danang. Along the way, we will stop at Lang Co beach for coffee and refreshments. From here we head up to the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views towards Da Nang city. Continuing on our way down the other side and into Da Nang, we will stop at the Museum of Cham Sculpture where the mix between French-colonial architecture and Cham elements are set in picturesque surroundings. Founded during the colonial French rule in 1915, this museum preserves sculpture items featuring the cultural, spiritual and ritual lives of the Cham people. Our next destination is the Marble Mountains - a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngu Hanh Son District, south of Danang City. All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mt. Thuy. Several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found in the mountains, making this a popular destination. Upon our arrival in Hoi An, we assist you with check-in and the rest of the day is free for your own exploration of this remarkable town.

    Day 11: Hoi An Ancient Town (B/L/-)

    Picking up from hotel at 08.00am, we start with the Fujian Assembly Hall, dedicated to the goddess Thien Hau, protector of the fishermen and sailors (very important for a sea port town). We then head to Phuc Thanh Pagoda which was founded by a Chinese monk in 1454 and the stunning Japanese Bridge built in 1593 in order to link two the Japanese district to the Chinese district. No visit to Hoi An is complete without a visit to Tan Ky house which is a beautiful example of Hoi An’s traditional Chinese homes. Here, the owner shares the history of the home.

    We visit colourful riverside markets and workshops home of the infamous Hoi An lantern. You will be given the chance to create your own lantern too!

    In the afternoon, we will visit and enjoy a boat trip in Cam Thanh water coconut village.

    Day 12: My Son Hollyland – Fly to Siem Reap (B/-/-)

    After breakfast, we drive towards the archaeological site of My Son (45km, ~1h drive). This is the former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled central Vietnam between the second and thirteenth centuries. Hinduism from India heavily influenced the religion. Located 60 km from Danang, My Son is considered one of the best-preserved Cham structures in Vietnam. The complex is comprised of seventy Hindu-like towers and temples dating from the second century. This site is a must-see for people who are interested in architecture and ancient civilisations. Not surprisingly, it is one of four World Heritage-listed sites in Vietnam.

    You will be free until time before trasfnering to airort for flight to Siem Reap.

    Day 13: Sunrise Watching – Angkor Temple – Apsara Dance Show (B/-/D)

    Early: Angkor Wat Sunrise and Exploration

    A sunrise tour starts at pre-dawn to witness the breathtaking view of Angkor Wat temple, the best place for photography. Continue to explore the central complex and bas-reliefs of Angkor Wat [AD1113]. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. With many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water, carved low-reliefs about Ramayana Story and day-to-day life at the time of Angkor's construction. You can have the picnic breakfast from the hotel or return to the hotel for breakfast and relax.

    Afternoon: Angkor Thom – the world’s largest city in the 12th Century

    Travel by road with our professional guide to the "Great City" of Angkor Thom, visits the Jayavarman’s state temple of Bayon Temple at the center of the city, then pass Phimeanakas with its beautiful lake and the imposing Baphoun, the state temple of King Udayadityavarman II  Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. In the evening, enjoy the dinner with Cambodia Traditional show, a classical Khmer performance art inspired by the water and cloud spirit of Hindu and Buddhist mythology at Amazon Angkor Restaurant. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 14: Angkor Temples Tour (B/-/-)

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Morning after breakfast, we travel to Banteay Srei temple (10th century) which is regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Continue to visit Banteay Samre, built in the third quarter of the 12th century. It consists of a central temple with four wings preceded by a hall and accompanied by two libraries, the southern example remarkably well preserved. Two concentric walls enclose the ensemble. Our next destination is Ta Prohm - one of the area's most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.

    In the afternoon, we continue our temple visits to Preah Khan. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Prea Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som.
