BANGKOK AIRWAYS LAUNCHES THE NEW ROUTE HANOI – CHIANG MAI SINCE MARCH 25, 2018

After the success of the two short hauls to Da Nang and Phu Quoc, Bangkok Airways will officially open the very first direct flight between Hanoi and Chiang Mai, which is the largest and richest culture in the Northeast region of Thailand.

 

According to the airline’s announcement, the outbound flight will depart from Chiang Mai International Airport at 9.55a.m and arrive to Noi Bai International Airport Terminal 2 at 12.00p.m. The inbound flight will depart from Noi Bai International Airport Terminal 2 at 12.45p.m and arrive to Chiang Mai International Airport at 14.50p.m (GMT +7). This flight route is implemented daily with 70 seats by a twin – engine turboprop ATR72 500 – 600.

It is supposed that not so many have heard about Bangkok Airways since this airline just focuses on exploiting the niche markets (short – haul flights in Asia) with the slogan “Asia’s Boutique Airline”. This is established in 1968 and known as the first privately – owned aviation company in Thailand. Through 50 – year operation, Bangkok Airways has become the leading boutique airline with a wide flight network and the modern fleet size. Now it owns 37 aircrafts including 9 Airbus 320s, 12 Airbus 319s, 6 ATR 72 – 500s, 9 ATR 72 – 600s and operates scheduled services to 12 domestic spots in Thailand and 19 international destinations in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Singapore and Vietnam.
