  • Day 1: Yangon Arrival (-/-/-)

    Yangon - Airport: 14km, ~15min drive

    yangonUpon arrival at Yangon airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel by our guide and driver. After making sure of your successful hotel check-in, they will be pleased to leave you free time for your own lunch and leisure to recover after the long flight.

    After the break, we visit 210 feet long Chauk Htet Kyi Reclining Buddha image from 1905. We'll also visit the monasteries around the Buddha image. Evening visit Sin Oo Dan Jetty by the river and sunset from there. Back to the hotel and overnight at hotel.

    Day 2: Yangon - Flight to Bagan (B/-/-)

    Yangon - Bagan: 630km, ~1h46min flight

    baganEarly morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Arrival Bagan, you will be met and transferred to visit Sulamani temple and photograph monks in the temple. Check in hotel and prepare for the sightseeing. Sightseeing in Bagan includes: Ananda Temple from AD 1090, Ananda Oykkyaung from AD 1137, U Pali Thein from mid- 13 Century.

    After lunch on your own cost, we visit family lacquarware workshops. We'll also visit Soe Mingyikyaung and pagoda. We'll visit Manuha Temple from AD 1059 and Nanpaya Temple, Myingabar Gubyaukgyi temple with the murals restored by UNESCO, Myazedi Pagoda with the earliest Myanmar writings from AD 1113. Sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda from AD 1057.

    Day 3: Bagan Sightseeing (B/-/-)

    bagan 2Early morning after breakfast at hotel, we enjoy sightseeing tour in Bagan: Shinpintharlyaung reclining Buddha to photograph the monks praying to the reclining Buddha. After the break, we visit to Minanthu village and photograph the horse-carts and the temples. Sunset shooting around Tayoepyay temple.

    Day 4: Bagan - Flight to Mandalay (B/-/-)

    Bagan - Mandalay: 293km, 25min flight

    amarapuraAfter breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Arrival at Mandalay airport, you will be met and transferred to city center. On the road to Mandalay, we'll visit Palaik with over 300 stupas from 11 – 15 century. We'll visit Palaik weaving factories and a monastic school. Proceed to Mandalay. Check in at hotel.

    Afternoon sightseeing: gold leaf making house, Mahamuni Temple and stone carving street. Drive to Amarapura and visit silk weaving factories. Proceed to Taung Thaman Lake with famous teak bridge, U Bein. Sunset by the bridge. Back to Mandalay overnight in Mandalay.

    Day 5: Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay (B/-/-)

    mingunMorning after breakfast, we travel to Shwe Kyatyat jetty to take a boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun, 11 km upriver from Mandalay. Visit Mingun Bell, weighing 90 tons and being one of the world's largest bells. After that we visit to village and observe their living life. Then drive back to Mandalay.

    We then visit Mahamuni Paya. Continue visiting of traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda, which houses 729 marble slabs sculptured the teaching of Buddha, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery, which is the masterpiece of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City. Come back to hotel and leisure.

    Day 6: Mandalay - Amarapura – Sagaing – Ava (B/-/-)

    mandalayMorning after having breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to visit Mahamuni Paya. After that visit Handicraft workshop. Silk waving workshop.

    In afternoon, we visit to U Bein Bridge, which the shallow Taungthman Lake is crossed by a long and rickety teak bridge, curved to withstand the wind and waves. During the dry season, the bridge crosses mostly dry land. After that drive to Sagaing, cross the Inwa Bridge, you see the hilltops, each crested with a pagoda, the banners proclaiming the Buddha's teaching, the refuge from all ills and tribulations where over 600 monasteries for monks and nuns are located for Buddhist studies and meditation. Visit to Sagaing Hill, Padamyazedi, U min Thonze or thirty caves pagoda has many Buddha images in a crescent shaped colonnade. Mural paintings can be seen in the Tilawkaguru cave temple, which was built around 1672. Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin Pagoda nearby was constructed in 1312. The view of Sagaing from Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin and its approach is marvelous. After proceed to Ava, across the Myit Nge River and ride the horse-cart, visit Mahaaungmyebonzan Bagaya Kyaung, and Ava Bridge. Then drive back to Mandalay.

    Day 7: Mandalay - Flight to Heho – Pindaya – Kalaw (B/-/-)

    Mandalay - Heho: 223km, 30min flight

    pindayaMorning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Mandalay airport for flight to Heho. Upon arrival Heho, drive to Pindaya to visit Pindaya Caves. Then proceed to Shwe U Min Paya. This is a cluster of low stupas just below the ridge near the Pindaya Caves. On the way, we can do sightseeing to Tea plantation, seasonal fruit plantation. Driving will take one hour and a half (50km). Visit Myin Ma Hiti Cave and Nee Paya at Kalaw (Bamboo Strip lacquer Buddha Image) after that visit Kalaw Shwe U Min Pagoda. Checking in at hotel in Kalaw. This was a popular hill station in the British days and it is still a peaceful and quiet place. At an altitude of 1320 m it is also pleasantly cool in every season.

    Day 8: Kalaw - Inle Sightseeing (B/-/-)

    inle sightseeingAfter breakfast, we check-out hotel and drive from Kalaw to Nyaung Shwe Jetty, transfer to Inle Lake by boat and check in Hotel. After taking a rest, we start boat excursion on the Inle Lake. Visit to Indein pagodas in ruins covered by trees and bushes which are supposed to be old about 500 years, floating gardens, Floating villages, Lotus-petal robe weaving looms, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda-the most venerable pagoda on the lake, which houses 05 images of Buddha completely gilded, In Paw Khone village to observe the silk weaving, jumping cats monastery, etc.

    Day 9: Inle Lake - Heho - Flight to Yangon (B/-/-)

    Heho - Yangon: 700km, 1h20min flight

    yangonEarly morning after breakfast, we embark a boat ride to Nyaungshwe. Drive to Heho and flight back to Yangon. Shopping in Yangon. Evening visit to hotel and the downtown. Special visit to Shwedagon pagoda for the second time. Sunset from there.

    This trip is private and therefore can be altered to suit your needs, date of commencement and budget requirements.

    Prices vary due to a number of specifics:

    • Seasonal: during high season (October-April), the prices of services are generally higher when compared to the low season (May-September).

    If your trip includes domestic flights if any, they will be operated by Vietnam Airlines, the largest airline in Vietnam. The fleet consists mainly of Airbus and Boeing. On some short trips, the company operates 72 ATR and some Fokker.

    Rail transport

    Train travel can be offered (particularly between Hanoi-Lao Cai and Hanoi-Hue). Travelling at a speed of 60km/h on average it is not necessarily the fastest but an interesting experience nonetheless.
